Shoes are damaging children's feet
According to a recent study by a Glasgow University, four in five children could be wearing badly fitting shoes which could cause serious long-term damage to their feet.
The BBC reports that "The Glasgow Caledonian University found 83% of a random sample of children attending a local primary school were wearing shoes that were too small."And went on to say "The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists has also found few parents regularly check that their child's shoes fit properly."

Why are so many children wearing the wrong size shoes?
Parents squeezing their children's feet into the wrong-sized shoes could be contributing to a lifetime of problems. Pressure sores, blisters and ingrowing toe nails are common early complaints of poorly fitting shoes, but feet deformities, knee and posture problems can be difficult long term ailments.
