Officially the start to our Christmas! The Christmas lights get turned on tonight and there are plenty of attractions and events in the city centre. Why not get your Winter boots before you go to see the event? You can leave your purchases in the shop and pick up another day, then off to have some fun!

BEST INDEPENDENT KIDS SHOP NOMINATION WITH MAMAS AND PAPAS

Mamas & Papas, one of the country’s leading nursery retailers, will be launching a free local guide for the Cardiff area. The guide, called ‘Mum & Dad’s the Word’, is packed with information on the best independent cafes, shops, playgrounds and days out that families can enjoy. Whilst many great businesses and services are listed, the winners in each category are to be recognised with awards – which will be presented at our awards ceremony on the 8^th November and hosted by popular television presenter and personality Sarra Elgan & a senior Mamas & Papas representative. The winners were chosen by a specialist panel who used a public survey in the local Cardiff area to help reach their decisions. The guide will be available for free in all Mamas & Papas stores in the Cardiff area as well as in the winning venues.

Award winners, runners up, parents, and local VIPs will be attending the Mamas & Papas store, Unit 81-82, Capital Retail Park, Leckwith, Cardiff for champagne, canapés, and an exclusive awards ceremony. The evening will also see a presentation to the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital of a cheque for £500 to recognise all their hard work supporting local families in what is a very difficult, and emotional time.
